That's a wrap!

FINALLY!

After some difficulties, I have finally finished my video about marriage equality. I was pretty stressed out about the whole procedure, as it is something I had never really done before, and I knew I had to find actors and a place to film etc!

I ended up filming the video at my workplace, which was really convenient; however, the day I had originally planned to film, one of my actors said he was sick, therefore we had to reschedule! It was quite difficult to find a time all of us were free at the same time, but we managed, although it was a little last minute! The actual filming was quite funny and really enjoyable, I could probably make a blooper reel!

There were a few things that I would reconsider if I were to make another video, for example the lighting and sound of the atmosphere I am filming in, as well as using better equipment! Overall, it ended up coming together really well and I am excited that I now know how to use iMovie (even if I'm not very good at it).

The final outcome ended up differing from my original plan, as I had originally wanted the homosexual couple in the video to be elderly; however, it was quite hard to find elderly people who wanted to participate in the video or had the time. Therefore, the homosexual couple ended up being the same as as the heterosexual couple, however I believe the message was still delivered successfully!

Overall, this assignment has taught me a lot about film, and it is something I would like to get more into, especially by documenting my travels and creating videos!
